A charming vintage Catholic devotional statue depicting Saint Joseph holding the Christ Child, sourced in France.
The finely detailed metal figure stands atop an ornate architectural pedestal featuring pierced Gothic-style panels, decorative crosses, and scrolling feet. The aged gold-tone finish highlights the delicate folds of the figures’ robes and the intricate ornamental details throughout.
The pedestal is hollow beneath, with an opening visible on the underside, suggesting the piece may originally have served as part of a larger devotional accessory. Its precise original function has not been established.
Likely dating to the early to mid-20th century, this petite religious figure would make a lovely addition to a home altar, sacred art collection, or display of antique and vintage Catholic devotional objects.
Measures approximately 5¾ inches tall, with a base measuring 2¼ × 1¾ inches.
Vintage condition with age-related patina, oxidation, and surface wear consistent with previous use. Please review photographs for details.
