Beautiful vintage French edition of Charlotte Brontë’s classic novel Jane Eyre, published in Paris as part of the Collection Biblio-Luxe by Presses de la Renaissance.
This edition contains the complete French text (texte intégral), translated by Léon Brodovikoff and Claire Robert.
Especially attractive decorative binding in deep navy blue with elaborate gold gilt detailing, including fleur-de-lis motifs, geometric lattice decoration and gilt borders across the front cover and spine. A gorgeous display copy of one of the great classics of English literature.
Measures approximately 8.25 × 5.5 inches.
Very good vintage condition with light shelf and surface wear consistent with age. The gilt decoration remains bright and attractive, the binding presents beautifully, and the pages are clean overall. Minor wear may be present along the cover edges and corners. Please review photographs closely for condition.
A beautiful edition for a Charlotte Brontë collector, Jane Eyre fan, classic literature collection, decorative library or bookshelf display.
