Vintage hand-tooled leather artwork depicting a solitary lighthouse rising above stylized ocean waves.
The image has been worked directly into warm brown leather with embossed and incised detailing defining the lighthouse, architectural elements, shoreline and water. Darkened recessed lines and naturally varied coloration give the piece a wonderful aged, dimensional appearance.
Presented in a simple black and silver-tone frame. The reverse retains an Old House Gallery label commemorating the gallery’s 1976–1999 period of operation.
Artist unknown. Likely late 20th century.
Measures approximately 9.5 inches wide × 13 inches tall overall.
Good vintage condition with age-related surface wear, scratches, small impressions and variations to the leather, along with wear to the frame. Please refer closely to photographs for condition.
