Charming vintage convex metal portrait depicting an elegant lady in 18th-century-style court dress, surrounded by an ornate gold decorative frame.
The image is applied directly to a shaped convex metal panel, giving the portrait subtle dimension rather than the appearance of a conventional flat print behind glass. The sitter wears an elaborate blue-green gown with lace detailing and a powdered hairstyle, giving the piece a wonderful Rococo / French court aesthetic.
Measures approximately 6¼ inches high × 4½ inches wide.
The reverse has a fiberboard backing with hanging wire and retains a Creative Hang Ups custom framing label from Harvey, Louisiana.
