Original handmade sculptural portrait bust created by a local New Orleans artist. This expressive piece depicts a young man with short, textured hair and softly modeled facial features, with visible hand-worked detailing throughout.
The sculpture has a natural, unfinished appearance and is mounted on a simple wooden post and square base. Its raw, studio-made character makes it an interesting decorative piece for an art collection, library, or eclectic interior.
Condition: There is noticeable cracking and separation across the crown of the head, additional surface cracking along the sides and back, and damage around the lower neck where the sculpture meets the wooden support. The sculpture is sold in its present condition, as photographed.
Dimensions: Approximately 20 inches tall overall, including stand. Head approximately 12 inches tall × 8 inches wide × 9 inches deep. Base approximately 8 × 8 inches. Measurements other than overall height are estimates.
