An exceptionally ornate silvered (possible) bronze ewer and underplate, richly decorated throughout with classical figures, scrolling foliage, masks and elaborate relief work. The dramatic figural handle rises above the ewer in an intricate openwork design, while the large accompanying underplate features a beautifully pierced border.
