A striking large blue coral skeleton, consistent with Heliopora coerulea, commonly known as blue coral.

This substantial specimen displays the distinctive blue-gray calcareous skeleton associated with blue coral, with broad, undulating formations creating an exceptionally sculptural form. Dense surface texture and irregular branching give the piece a different silhouette from nearly every angle.

At nearly a foot across, its scale is particularly impressive. An unusual natural-history object for display on a pedestal, console, bookshelf or within a cabinet of curiosities.

The underside retains areas of white skeletal material, marine accretions and irregular growth. The specimen’s history and whether the colony was wild-grown or cultivated are unknown.

Dimensions: approximately 11.5” H × 11.5” W × 9.5” D

Condition: Coral skeleton with naturally irregular formation and surface. Areas of loss, broken and worn edges, discoloration, deposits and other irregularities are present throughout. Please review all photographs closely, as they form an important part of the condition description.
