A beautifully composed Mediterranean landscape by Belgian painter Gregoor Van Puyenbroeck, depicting the sunlit village of Porquerolles on the French Riviera. The composition features terracotta rooftops, a church steeple, vineyard rows in the foreground, and distant blue mountains set beneath a dramatic, cloud-filled sky. Van Puyenbroeck’s confident brushwork and luminous palette create a wonderful sense of atmosphere while capturing the warmth and tranquility of the Provençal countryside.

Painted in 1932, the work is signed by the artist in the lower right and retains its original silvered frame, which complements the soft tones of the landscape beautifully. The richly textured paint surface and harmonious color palette are characteristic of Van Puyenbroeck’s mature work and reflect the influence of the Antwerp School’s realist tradition.
