Executed in oil on panel, the composition depicts an elegantly dressed woman seated in an interior, draped in a dark fur stole over a vibrant crimson gown. The intimate scale and fashionable attire reflect the refined portrait traditions of the Belle Époque period.

Unsigned and presented in a gilt frame. Provenance: Collection of Cynthia A. Samuel, New Orleans, Louisiana.

Condition:
No signs of past restoration observed. Minor losses along edges, scattered light scratches, marks, and accretions. Age-related cracks to panel and toning to the varnish layer. Frame with expected marks, abrasions, nicks, and small losses consistent with age.
