Really beautiful antique wooden organ component that has been repurposed into a decorative storage box. Likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, the piece features an elaborate carved floral and scrollwork design across the front, with a row of turned wooden finials along the top.
The front panel lifts to reveal a spacious storage compartment, making this a wonderful piece for storing books, linens, or other household items. I especially love the rich wood finish and architectural detailing, which give it plenty of old-world character.
Originally part of an organ, the piece has been modified for use as a storage box, including an added rear panel. Shows age-related surface wear, minor losses, and evidence of its previous use.
Estimated measurements are approximately 20 inches wide, 12 inches deep, and 9.5 inches tall.
A unique piece of antique architectural salvage that is both decorative and functional.
