Antique French engraving by François Hubert (1744–1809), after Jacques-Philippe Caresme (1734–1796), titled Hony soit qui mal y pense and dedicated to the Duc de Chartres. The composition was published in Paris in 1777.

Presented under glass in an antique black frame with gilt inner trim. The paper shows toning, foxing and discoloration consistent with age. Frame has scattered surface wear and losses as pictured.
