Beautiful 19th-century binding in deep burgundy/red with raised spine bands, gilt lettering and small gilt floral decorations. The interior features striking blue and brown marbled endpapers and an attractive two-color title page with the Alphonse Lemerre publisher’s device.
Measures approximately 6.5 × 4 inches.
Antique condition with visible age-related wear, including rubbing and losses along the spine, raised bands, corners and edges. The head of the spine shows heavier wear and loss. Interior pages exhibit expected toning and occasional spotting consistent with age. Please review photographs closely for condition.
