Original antique Christian religious print dating to 1888, depicting the Virgin Mary holding the infant Jesus, both shown with halos in a finely detailed black-and-white illustration.
The original caption on the reverse reads “The Story Came First From Her.” This illustration originates from The Beautiful Story: A Companion Book to the Holy Bible by J. W. Buel, published in 1888, an extensively illustrated 19th-century religious volume featuring Biblical scenes and Christian imagery.
Measures approximately 10 1/2 inches tall × 8 inches wide overall.
This is an original antique printed sheet from the 1888 publication, not a modern reproduction. Currently protected in a clear sleeve. Antique condition with expected toning and age-related wear as photographed.
Beautiful piece of antique Christian, Catholic, Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus religious art, ideal for framing, a home prayer space, church decor, or a collection of 19th-century Biblical prints.
