A tall glass apothecary jar with pointed lid, late 19th to early 20th century, repurposed here as a display vessel. Inside is a collection of Grand Tour terracotta busts of women, small-scale tourist souvenirs made in Europe in the late 19th century. Each bust was originally sold individually to travelers as collectible tokens; they now create a striking cabinet-of-curiosities effect housed together in the jar. 12.5” tall
Condition: Minor wear to jar consistent with age. The terracotta busts (quantity uncertain) show scattered chipping and wear typical of tourist pieces.
Origin: Europe, c. 1880–1900.
